If you read my last blog entry about “hate ” you will understand this  “follow up”.

Olivia, my daughter started to learn how an organization works behind the “scenes.” She was learning more about how to rescue animals, and also how to promote a campaign. How to receive help from others, and how to collect donations.

There are numerous of kind people out there that truly want to rescue animals, but don’t realise (many times) the tough work. All the free hours that are put in volunteering every day. Well, I wanted to teach/educate her together with my son Max, about the wonderful and also difficult situations it means to run an organization.

Together we started, “Olivia rescue Horses Campaign”.

Little would we have known, and understand, that some people could be rude and make false accusation about her work. –You can read all about it in the last blog entry–

Olivia became very sad, and I could saw her energy going down. As a mother, you want to protect your children, like a momma bear.

Amazingly, there were many people that read my words, wrote back and made beautiful comments about Olivia, and her work with the horses. Me the Momma Bear, got very happy emotional and very thankful to all you that wrote with love to her (and me).

I read them all for Olivia.

We talked about it if we would let these negative people have power over us.

Olivia thought for a minute, and then said, “Mom, no one should quiet any actions made out of Love.”

I couldn’t agree more, and I am so proud of her, that she feels that strongly in her heart and mind. Of course, I will support her all the way, however,  Momma Bear will take a (small) step back.

Yesterday, I and Olivia went to a polo horse stable to meet Julia a 16-year-old polo-horse. Again we heard the soul whisper, “I am someone!” I cannot describe the feeling of meeting a soul that is tired, their mind is tired, their body is tired. But I recognize the feelings.

It is heavy!

Right away, Julia felt comfortable with Olivia and rested her head in Olivia’s arms. Gently, Olivia kissed Julia above her eyelid. “I see you!” she whispered back to the beautiful soul.

A vibrate moment of peace occurred in the stable.

Some people might ask me, why rescue another horse when the founds are coming slowly for the other Animals?

Its not an easy answer, since it is a feeling I have inside of me since my childhood. Several of you know me and my history,  and some of you have read my books where I mentioned my tough childhood. How I as a child, many times had to visit the hospital due to being abused.

I was being badly abused for years.

No one dared to stand up for me and speak, to end my horrible situation. I still can recall the feeling when the persons in my life looked at me with sad guilty embarrassed eyes, and then walked away. I was totally alone.

Your brain stops working. You are going on half energy to survive, not to be able to remember. The same with Animals in stress.

They called me dumb.  I was absolutely not dumb, it was my defense mechanism,  my brain had to disconnect to be able to survive. You are waiting to be saved. Like Animals.

Children and Animals we react the same.

This is why, I cannot walk away without at least try, and to beg YOU to help Julia to the retirement she so deserves. That we not only look at her picture with pitty but that we actually will do something together for sweet Julia.

Olivia and I cannot do this alone, let us become a team, and give Julia a wonderful retirement.

That’s Amore!

Working on the D Vitamins

Amazingly, we can provide Miracle some Sunshine during these dark days (its getting brighter day by day) He loved having warmth relaxing his muscles.

I think this was the first time Miracle received Solarium for Horses. He is 26 years old rescue horse/retired from being a riding school horse in southern Italy. (Now in S Germany together with us as an AWL Horse.)

Two more horses from the same stable are coming up the end of this month. And we will provide the same service as we give Miracle.

All your donations (earmarked Horses) will go to give them the best services. Please, help us help them to have the wonderful retirement that they so deserve. Not end up in a slaughterhouse with anxiety and worthlessness as their last feelings.

WE cannot save them all, however we can all help to make a difference.

That’s Amore,

Finalmente!

We have scheduled the arrival of GummiBear and Rihanna to Germany! They will be picked up from their stable in Italy on February 28th and brought to their new home, where we will provide them with veterinary care, necessary ultrasounds, and lots of carrots!

These horses have seen a lot, and now they will have the very best of everything, with your help. This is our final fundraising push for the monies needed to cover transportation and care for the horses upon arrival.

Both Gummi Bear and Rihanna need dental and hoof care desperately; we will prioritize this care to relieve any pain as soon as possible. We need supplies for the new arrivals as well, but most urgently we need cash to pay the bills and bring our beautiful new horses home!

We are registered in NC, USA and Stockholm, Sweden.

AWL is a Non-profit Org. 501(c)(3) Your contribution is 100% tax-deductible.

Miracle’s Hoof Problems

0

Our retirement rescue horse Miracle got suddenly lameness in his back hoof. Our great veterinarian from TeamJaenich came very quickly.  We could see and sense that he had severe pain. Painkiller, a small sharp stone was cut out and then bandage with liquid bandage.

A perfect wrapped hoof, and rest for Miracle.

This was day one.

Two days later both veterinarians, Frau Spotl and Frau Gohring came. They discovered that now there were abscesses “going” up and out. Stinky old feet!

Miracle was in a good mood and he could stand on his hoof. Smelly feet. But not perfect yet. New bandage liquid and walk twice a day on the hard ground.

He is such a trooper. Plenty of love and carrots.

Please help us with the veterinarian bills for Miracle. Earmark Senior Horses

AWL Retirement Home

Our first very client was Tequila; born (2006) as a star in Brazil with a big hope for becoming a wining racehorse. Tequila traveled with his team to many places, Dubai, Sweden and many more. He had an accident as a five year old and was put in a box, but never recovered. His spirit was fine but his body was now useless being a Racehorse. Tequila was going to be put down to sleep. A person stepped in to rescue, but a veterinarian demanded that Tequila should be put down since she claimed he also had osteoarthritis in his front legs.
The time was being scheduled but when the owner/rescue lady came home with Tequila and saw him run out in the pasture, full of life, she listens to her gut and canceled the appointment for euthanization.
Maya’s ability to rehabilitate horses—he become healthy and have had some good last years without competition or pressure. Still Tequila is having a great life as an retirement horse AWL Sweden. The veterinarain last week was positive suprised that Tequila still got fantastic “sparkle” inside of him. Thank you Maya Landvik.

I am someoneMiracle, 26 years old, born in Poland is a wonderful former riding school horse from southern Italy. He is now since 0ct 2017 together with us. Miracle gained some weight, got his hoofs trimmed (shoes off)
His life is now green grass, big box (6×4 m)
friends and fantastic walks in the forrest. Thank you Tracey Kleber, without you we wouldn’t have done it this fast.

What Miracle wants to do, he gets to do.

We listen.
