Transformation Can be Magical

These two pictures above are amazing, without any words. Just look at them! I am “motherly” proud.

However, I want to explain and tell you the story behind the pictures, and my passion. The passion me and my daughter are having rescuing Horses (all Animals) are beyond anything in life.

Can you imagine it is five (5) months between picture one, and two?

Five months!!

GummiBear is now a 25 years-old horse and was born in Munchen, Germany. Later he was sold as a riding school horse to southern Italy. After years of hard work at that riding school was he sold again, and this time to the other side of southern Italy.

Another riding school.

He worked hard again. He did his job with silence for many days, many months and many years. Then one-day GummiBear lost his power.

There were no pastures, no green grass to have any relaxation. Only a box on the backside without any view.

I received a phone call, to come and get him. When I flew down and saw him I lost my breath. He was so thin and totally out of shape. I prayed hard.

No one actually believed he would go through the veterinarian inspection, not even the Italians. Then a miracle happened, he got his stamp to travel.

GummiBear and another rescue horse Rihanna, both came up to us in southern Germany.

Our veterinarian took a blood test. It came out positive for Cushing, low iron, and very low immune system. Listening to GB heart she heard a murmuring sound.

His hoves hadn’t seen a farrier in months.

We were not worried about the test results since he was under our care now. Different treatments could start.

Thanks to your support, we can provide GummiBear with veterinarian care, medicine, herbal, farrier, and in a good stable with nutrition food.

Please, even if he looks great, we need to maintain him looking like this. He still needs his medicine, herbs, osteopath, box, and food. Not to forget farrier.

We are so grateful for your donations, it makes a difference, and we can make that together with you. Please, let us continue helping GummiBear giving back as a thank you for everything he has done for us.

And, his circle is coming to an end. He has returned to Germany, only four hours away from where he was ones born.

That’s Amore!

Amazing Transformation

Despite that I have worked with rescue animals for over 25 years, I still get amazed watching them change. It’s the best job ever.

GummiBear 24 years old, came up to Stuttgart Germany, to our Senior Sanctuary beginning of March. He looked rough. Never did anyone think he would pass the veterinarian inspection down in Napoli, Italy before leaving. But the forces were with us.

The third picture is Max –my son– holding GummiBear, and the second picture is Katrin giving him acupuncture. The first picture up left was taken yesterday.

Isn’t he gorgeous! What a transformation.

Animals need their time, and different treatments. What we do, is listening to them and following their directions. Actually, they know the best.

Afterward, are we letting every educated person –in their skills — come and give them their treatments.

Our veterinarian Frau Spotl took blood samples, and when the result showed he was very low on iron and had Cushing, and heart murmur. With the right medication, we got fantastic results.

Of course, not to forget, love and tenderness are huge ingredients in their healing process.
