If you read my last blog entry about “hate ” you will understand this  “follow up”.

Olivia, my daughter started to learn how an organization works behind the “scenes.” She was learning more about how to rescue animals, and also how to promote a campaign. How to receive help from others, and how to collect donations.

There are numerous of kind people out there that truly want to rescue animals, but don’t realise (many times) the tough work. All the free hours that are put in volunteering every day. Well, I wanted to teach/educate her together with my son Max, about the wonderful and also difficult situations it means to run an organization.

Together we started, “Olivia rescue Horses Campaign”.

Little would we have known, and understand, that some people could be rude and make false accusation about her work. –You can read all about it in the last blog entry–

Olivia became very sad, and I could saw her energy going down. As a mother, you want to protect your children, like a momma bear.

Amazingly, there were many people that read my words, wrote back and made beautiful comments about Olivia, and her work with the horses. Me the Momma Bear, got very happy emotional and very thankful to all you that wrote with love to her (and me).

I read them all for Olivia.

We talked about it if we would let these negative people have power over us.

Olivia thought for a minute, and then said, “Mom, no one should quiet any actions made out of Love.”

I couldn’t agree more, and I am so proud of her, that she feels that strongly in her heart and mind. Of course, I will support her all the way, however,  Momma Bear will take a (small) step back.

Yesterday, I and Olivia went to a polo horse stable to meet Julia a 16-year-old polo-horse. Again we heard the soul whisper, “I am someone!” I cannot describe the feeling of meeting a soul that is tired, their mind is tired, their body is tired. But I recognize the feelings.

It is heavy!

Right away, Julia felt comfortable with Olivia and rested her head in Olivia’s arms. Gently, Olivia kissed Julia above her eyelid. “I see you!” she whispered back to the beautiful soul.

A vibrate moment of peace occurred in the stable.

Some people might ask me, why rescue another horse when the founds are coming slowly for the other Animals?

Its not an easy answer, since it is a feeling I have inside of me since my childhood. Several of you know me and my history,  and some of you have read my books where I mentioned my tough childhood. How I as a child, many times had to visit the hospital due to being abused.

I was being badly abused for years.

No one dared to stand up for me and speak, to end my horrible situation. I still can recall the feeling when the persons in my life looked at me with sad guilty embarrassed eyes, and then walked away. I was totally alone.

Your brain stops working. You are going on half energy to survive, not to be able to remember. The same with Animals in stress.

They called me dumb.  I was absolutely not dumb, it was my defense mechanism,  my brain had to disconnect to be able to survive. You are waiting to be saved. Like Animals.

Children and Animals we react the same.

This is why, I cannot walk away without at least try, and to beg YOU to help Julia to the retirement she so deserves. That we not only look at her picture with pitty but that we actually will do something together for sweet Julia.

Olivia and I cannot do this alone, let us become a team, and give Julia a wonderful retirement.

That’s Amore!

Miracle’s Hoof Problems

0

Our retirement rescue horse Miracle got suddenly lameness in his back hoof. Our great veterinarian from TeamJaenich came very quickly.  We could see and sense that he had severe pain. Painkiller, a small sharp stone was cut out and then bandage with liquid bandage.

A perfect wrapped hoof, and rest for Miracle.

This was day one.

Two days later both veterinarians, Frau Spotl and Frau Gohring came. They discovered that now there were abscesses “going” up and out. Stinky old feet!

Miracle was in a good mood and he could stand on his hoof. Smelly feet. But not perfect yet. New bandage liquid and walk twice a day on the hard ground.

He is such a trooper. Plenty of love and carrots.

Please help us with the veterinarian bills for Miracle. Earmark Senior Horses

Animal Studies

Pictures taken by Ariane, Kahl-Gaertner

Animals are here to help children learn to listen in a different way. Remembering how to use their hearts. They are our future, and I believe in them.

I have to tell you, I got the best Tuesdays.

During the whole week am I longing for my Tuesdays, to meet my students again. They are between 5 y-old to 12 y-old. Amazing, and inspires me a lot too. The classroom vibrates in Unicorn-passion.

Yesterday we discussed about safety for dogs, harmful collars, electrical collars, chocking chains, a no no leaving the animal in a cage the whole day.

About Sweden’s law that if you leave a dog in a crate, the door must be removed.

Why you shouldn’t throw your dog on their back as a punishment. And of course, a AWL rescue story with a happy ending.

I also include them to teach me. To do a show and tell about their pet(s) or favourite animal that they find interesting.

Yesterday did my “firecracker” girl talk about her birds, and especially one named Sunshine.

I am so blessed to be able to talk to children about pets and wild animals. What we humans do wrong, and what we can do to make it right.

The picture with the the puppies was two weeks ago when we learned about safety, and how to act around dogs (on the dogs conditions) How to use our voice and body…..no yelling and running or hugging. Let the dog come to you.

The children and my teachers aid totally agree; we need more time. It’s so much fun and inspiring. Every child should have this on their school schedule.

I am so blessed…..That’s Amore!

When you rescue an animal the most important thing is to know his history from himself. Not him learning from what you have learned from previous animals.

That comes later!
