We have followed this beautiful girl and her rescue mom back in the States for quiet some time. We have laughed and shared about her beautiful fight, but now we cry.
You touched so many hearts and forgave even more hearts. Thank you Rosie for teaching many people what true love is, and forgiveness. That’s Amore! RIP

UPDATE on ROSIE, born in the worst of puppy mills in USA Feb, 2010, and rescued in June, 2012, the little tenacious survivor enjoyed a REAL life of love for just a bit over a year. Last night, she left us…
From Everything Rosie:

“Rosie developed pneumonia and because of her abnormal trachea, it progressed so quickly that I lost her at 9:28 pm tonight. She was in my arms and I was holding her tightly willing her to stay. I am devastated and destroyed. My whole world was that little girl and I don’t know how to carry on even though I have to for the sake of the other dogs in my home. I am going to have her cremated tomorrow. Eddie is in India and is devastated as well. I am not announcing this right now. I don’t even want to live without her let alone try to explain that to anyone else. I am lost without my girl.”

Good Luck little one with a new chapter in your new life. We are so exited.

Minnie was a Puppy Mill breeding dog. For years she was producing puppies and living in horrible conditions. When found she was a depressed, only 5 kg and very sick. For 10 years had she been a machine. When she became “to old” they threw her out in a garden together with a big puppy that was bothering her the whole time.
We found her and brought her into our Hospice. Slowly, with the right food, veterinarian care, surgery and love, she trusted us and was so loving, and funny.

It was bittersweet to let her go, but our work was done….now a new chapter started with only love in it. Minnie is now together with her own new family up in Northern Italy that only want to love her, and receive love back.

That’s Amore Little One!

Little Minnie was rescued yesterday from a hard life as a breeding machine.
For many years Minnie was locked in, churning out litter after litter.
Later on in life, she was thrown out in the garden, together with a puppy
that wouldn’t let her be alone.

Minnie is old, has no teeth, is so tired, and her fur is in horrible
condition. At only 2-3 kg, she has had to carry a heavy burden thanks to the
worst of we humans.

Guardian Lady Tonia rescued her and came with her to our Hospice last night.
Minnie now has her own room, with a warm bed. The volunteers simply love
We have many people that want to adopt her and we are so thankful for all of
their love. But first, it will take a little time; both to research the
possible families to pick the best, and Minnie must also see a veterinarian
Wednsday for health tests.

Then, if the veterinarian says ok, she will have
a SPA day with our lovely volunteers.

Please help sponsor Minnie through the process toward getting her very own
forever family.  We want her to have a wonderful life for the rest of her
years, and need to set her up for success.  Blood, erlichia and leichmania
tests will need to be performed, and perhaps some dog pates’ (Ceasar)
provided to pamper her palate a little as well.

Your help = Amore
